Free Samsung Gear VR

Have you been itching to try the new Samsung VR headset? Well, now’s your chance. Samsung have recently announced plans to give away one of their state-of-the-art Gear VR virtual reality headsets to anyone who buys a compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone by 19th July 2016.

The company previously made the same offer to customers who had purchased the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets, but has now decided to open the offer up to those who want to buy the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, or Galaxy Note 5 models. The good news doesn’t stop there though, as well as giving customers who purchase those phones a free Gear VR headset, they’re also including a bundle of games and other content.

If you’ve recently bought one of the Samsung gadgets listed above or plan to do so in the near future, claiming your free tech is easy. Simply head over to Samsung’s giveaway page and fill in your details. You’ll also need your phone’s IMEI number to complete your request.

Unfortunately, if you purchased your handset second hand or from an unauthorised source, you won’t be able to claim any goodies. Only customers who purchased from an authorised retailer are able to take part in the promotion, so make sure you check the list of stores before you buy.

Powered by Oculus, the Gear VR headset has been impressing tech bloggers and virtual reality enthusiasts since its release in November last year. It was quickly named Digital Trend’s Product of the Year for 2015 and was praised for its comfortable strap, easy controls and wide range of apps and games.

Remember, the offer ends on 19th July, so if you want to take advantage of it, you’d better hurry.
